Sound, Singing & Mantra Medicine

by Lisa Hamilton and Mikenze Pearsoll
with instrumental support from Jeff Hamilton

at St. Matthew's United Church in Belleville

 Postponed to April • 7:30pm - 9pm

[Doors Open at 7pm]

The Song of Becoming:

Where sound becomes the doorway, and you become the song

Enter a sacred portal where devotional chant and soul-guided sound awaken the space within. This is not a performance—it is a remembering. Through Kirtan, mantra, meditation, intuitive vocal transmission, and immersive sound healing, you are invited into a sacred unfolding of presence. A weaving of stillness, rhythm, resonance, and voice

Together, we gather to move through the subtle terrain of the self—into silence, into vibration, into expression

From silence to song, from seeker to soul — become the song you’ve always been

So what exactly is Kirtan??

Kirtan is the Yoga of Sound. It is a form of devotional music rooted in ancient Vedic traditions. Through call-and-response chanting, accompanied by instruments like the harmonium, tabla, and cymbals, Kirtan invites participants to connect deeply with themselves, each other, and the Divine. The chants—often mantras or sacred names—foster peace, joy, and unity. No musical experience is needed; Kirtan transcends language and welcomes all to experience the transformative power of communal singing
